About selling
Who buys houses in Carteret, NJ?
Many kinds of buyers do: families, investors, builders and companies that pay cash. This website does not buy every house and does not say who will respond to your request. It collects your request and passes it to cash home buyers, or reviews it itself where that applies.
How much will I be offered?
No amount can be given without seeing the house, and this website publishes none. If an offer ever comes back, ask for it in writing.
How fast can I sell?
That depends on the buyer, the paperwork and the house, so no time frame is stated here. Anyone who promises a date before seeing the title and the property is guessing.
Does the house have to be in good shape?
Not necessarily. People ask about houses that need repairs, that are empty, that were inherited and that have tenants. Whether a particular buyer takes a house on depends on the house, and the situation pages explain what matters in each case.
Do I need to clean it out first?
Usually not, but ask whoever responds. What stays and what goes is a point to agree in writing.
Should I talk to an attorney?
It is a good idea before you sign anything. An attorney you choose can read what you are asked to sign and explain the New Jersey rules that apply to you.
Is a cash offer better than listing the house?
Not in general. A cash offer can mean fewer steps and no repairs. A listing can reach more buyers. The page on selling for cash sets out the trade.
About this website and your details
Is this a company that buys houses itself?
This website collects requests and passes them to cash home buyers, or reviews them itself where that applies. It does not claim to be the buyer on every request. The about page lists what the owner has not yet confirmed.
Do I have to accept what comes back?
No. A request asks for information, and it is presented as no-obligation. Nothing is agreed until you agree to something in writing.
What does sending a request cost me?
This website does not currently ask you for money, and the owner has not published any fee terms. If anyone who responds mentions a fee or a cost, ask for it in writing and ask an attorney before you agree.
Who sees my details?
The operator of this site and the buyers or partners handling the request, according to the form’s consent wording. The owner has yet to confirm who those buyers or partners are.
How long are my details kept?
The form is set to keep requests for up to 365 days and then remove them. The owner has yet to confirm that period, so please check the privacy page.
Is the request form open?
Look for the notice at the top of every page. While it says requests are not open, the form is switched off because no place to receive requests has been set up, and nothing typed into it could be sent.
Are you part of Carteret borough or the government?
No. This site is not affiliated with the Borough of Carteret or any government agency.
